SUDBURY, ON – March 17, 2014 – Artists on Elgin will officially be launching the 8th annual Picture Our Lakes photography contest during downtown Sudbury's Art Crawl being held March 20 from 5:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. The Picture Our Lakes photography contest encourages participation from photographers of all ages and abilities. We have added a new category this year for the "Most Undiscovered Lake". All photos must feature some element of water and need to be taken within the boundaries of the City of Greater Sudbury.

The photo contest which is created into a calendar is now in its 8th year, a contest which has proved to be very popular among Sudbury's budding and professional photographers. The contest aims to raise awareness and appreciation for the natural beauty of Sudbury's water bodies, while encouraging the public to get involved and support the arts.

Digital submission can be made through Artists on Elgin's website where you can also find all the details and rules regarding the contest at www.artistsonelgin.ca. We also accept hard copy submissions by coming into Artists on Elgin and dropping them off.

Artists on Elgin is located at 168 Elgin Street, and is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Artists on Elgin will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday March 20 for the Art Crawl.

Artists on Elgin is a project of its parent organization, The Northern Artist Gallery, where artists can exhibit, promote and sell their work in an attractive and professional gallery space. Artists on Elgin aims to build mutually beneficial partnerships between the artists and the community by addressing the business and marketing needs of the local art industry. Artists on Elgin is the ideal place to find that perfect gift for any occasion. Visit us online at www.artistsonelgin.ca, or visit our Facebook Page to stay up to date with what we're doing.
